The CLIL activities designed for this final project are
addressed to third graders (8/9 years old). The topic chosen to develop them is
Plants, integrated within the Area of Natural Sciences.
The digital platform that we have used is a blog, where we
have uploaded material related to that topic. There is a Powerpoint created by
us explaining 2 CLIL lesson plans with several activities.
OBJECTIVES:
- - To create activities adapted to our students’
needs using Lower Thinking Skills (LOTS) and Higher Thinking Skills (HOTS).
- - To use CLIL activities to develop a Science
lesson using the 3 As: apply, add and analyse.
- - To include the 4 Cs in both lessons: culture,
cognition, content and communication.
- - To motivate and engage our students designing attractive
CLIL activities.
- - To get familiarised with the CLIL methodology to
apply inside our classrooms.
- - To use Bloom’s taxonomy and Cummins matrix when
creating a CLIL activity.
- - To be able to assess activities according to the
CLIL methodology.
- - To develop professionally incorporating new
methodologies in our daily teaching.
- - To become confident implementing CLIL and
innovative ICT tools at our schools.
